On a hectic morning for a dual-income couple, Oki's daily routine is to drop his son off at preschool on his way to work. His relationship with Waka, his son's teacher, was that of a typical teacher and parent, exchanging nothing more than casual daily conversation. However, after not seeing Waka at the preschool for several days, he notices she lacks her usual energy when they finally meet. Concerned, Oki asks about her, and Waka confides in him about a sad event that happened over the past few days.
