It was several decades ago that I was confessed to by Taichi-kun, a classmate of my daughter's who lived nearby. I thought it was probably said out of the admiration a young boy has for an older woman, so I told him "I'm sorry." Years passed, and when I opened the door to greet my daughter who was bringing her fiancé home, a young man I recognized was standing there. To my surprise, my daughter's fiancé was Taichi-kun. Feeling nostalgic for the past, I casually asked him that night if he remembered those days, and he unexpectedly kissed me, saying, "After all, I still like Auntie."
